Katharine Coleman is one of the world's leading engravers, with work in many public collections, including Corning Museum of Glass (USA), the V&A (UK), the Kunstsammlungen der Veste Coburg (Germany).  Elected a Fellow of the Guild of Glass Engravers in 1992, Katharine has received many awards and prizes. Her work for glass engraving in the UK and abroad was recognized in 2009, when she received an MBE for services to glass engraving. This year she is proud to have been elected an Honorary Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Glass Sellers of London.

She teaches short courses in the UK, the Studio at Corning Museum (USA) and at the Summer Academy of Bild Werk, Frauenau in Germany. Her two great concerns are for the survival of engraving skills both in the UK and abroad and also for the promotion of modern glass engraving as a vital part of contemporary studio glass art.
Her lecture, “A Future for Glass Engraving” will aim to address both these topics.

Tickets £10 for Guild & GEN members and £12 for non Guild members.
