The mesmerizing Shimmer table seems to exist in a realm somewhere in between inanimate and enchanted objects. It's made from iridescent, dichromatic glass with a light-reactive multicolored finish that makes the surface appear to magically change hue, depending on your vantage point. The table's clean, contemporary form strikes a perfect balance with the romantic material, creating a complex but very livable piece that continues to fascinate. Patricia Urquiola's work is represented in MoMA's collection.
