GLASS ART SOCIETY NOW ACCEPTING CONFERENCE SITE PROPOSALS FOR 2018 AND BEYOND

July 17, 2015 - Seattle, WA — Each year, the Glass Art Society produces an exciting conference that unites hundreds of glass enthusiasts and artists from around the world in all disciplines of glass. Through demonstrations, lectures, and panel discussions from renowned artists and industry leaders, members can learn new techniques and technical advances to further their skills. The conference is held in cities that boast a vibrant glass community and top-notch facilities that can accommodate these presentations and other conference-related events. The GAS Board is currently seeking proposals for 2018 and beyond.

This event requires commitment and dedication by the local committee, and can be a great opportunity to invigorate your region. Many factors are considered when selecting a location, including:
-Proposed dates
-Potential venues
-Accommodations for attendees
-Funding
-Long-term affects on the local glass community and the Glass Art Society
-Key players (i.e. Co-Chairs and local committees)
-Availability of volunteers
 
The deadline for 2018 conference site proposals is September 1, 2015.
